Lynda Figueredo currently serves as the WTOC Weekend Anchor and dayside reporter. She joined WTOC as a general assignment reporter in October 2009. Over the years, she worked on the News at Daybreak, hosted a segment called "Fit Club," which highlighted fitness and health related topics in the community, and worked as a night side reporter. She recently won an Emmy for her coverage of the Deadly I 95 crash that killed an officer. Prior to joining the WTOC news team, Lynda was the crime reporter and weekend anchor at WECT News in Wilmington, North Carolina. There, she earned a RTNDAC Award for her special report on "Beach Erosion." Prior to joining WECT, Lynda worked as a reporter at WCJB while attending the University of Florida. She also anchored and reported for WUFT News 5. Lynda is proud to be a Florida Gator and part of the Gator Nation! Lynda spent a summer working in the Big Apple as a production assistant and intern at ABC News Now, and has also interned with WESH-TV in Orlando, FL. When Lynda is not out reporting your stories, she enjoys cheering on the Gators, exploring the Coastal Empire, running around with her Chihuahua-beagle "chloe" and Chihuhua-pug "Marley", visiting family, friends and being involved in fitness. She is a certified group fitness instructor and a National Level Figure Competitor. You can catch Lynda teaching and coaching at various YMCA's, 24Seven Fitness, Anytime Fitness and Fleet Feet Sports throughout the week.
